The Paw paddles are more stout than the Claw paddles.  They are designed for digging and pulling lots of water as well as heavy wear and tear or larger vessels.  The edges of these paddles are a little beefier yet can also be ordered with a sharper blade edge like The Claw paddles.

The Claw paddles tend to have longer blades running deeper with finer blade edges. These sturdy and rugged paddles are great all around tripping paddles and are excellent solo paddles as well. The fine edges of the paddle allow the blade to slice cleanly during underwater recovery strokes.
